Recorded in 2019 but never released, “N.A.T.O. in Grappa” is the debut album by Grappa, a power trio from Bassano del Grappa formed by Alex Fernet (vocals, guitar, synth), Allez Kiki (bass) and Andrea Dal Broi (drums). The name “Grappa” refers to both the alcoholic drink and the Italian mountain on top of which there was a N.A.T.O. base: the album blends English with Venetian dialect, international longitude with local altitude, psych-rock with disco-music and R&B.
